Who should own your domain, pages and ad accounts?
You should. Here is a simple checklist to make sure you do, whoever you work with.

A surprising number of businesses discover, at the worst possible moment, that their agency owns their domain, their Facebook page or their ad account. Switching agencies then means starting from zero.
It is easy to avoid. Whoever builds or manages your digital presence, make sure these are in your name.
The ownership checklist
- Domain name registered to your business email
- Hosting or store account billed to you
- Code repository in your organisation, with the agency invited as a collaborator
- Meta Business account owned by you, with the agency added as a partner
- Google Ads and Meta ad accounts with your payment method
- Google Analytics and Search Console owned by your email
- Google Business Profile with you as primary owner
- Original design files and content library shared to your drive
What to ask before you sign
Ask one question: if we stop working together, what do I keep? The answer should be everything. If there is hesitation, take it seriously.
At ZanatWorks this is written into every agreement. You own everything from day one.
